Aelita Andre, a prodigy painter, is said to have been born an artist. The Austrailian girl creates paintings now worth thousands of dollars. She's only seven years old today, and has the world wondering how she does it.
Since she was young, Aelita loved to paint. When asked to describe her art, she says, "Painting's very beautiful. I don't know how to actually describe it. It's almost like your breath has gone out of your mouth."
Aelita began painting before she could walk and was featured in her first exhibition at age two. At four years old, she presented her first solo exhibition. The public reacted incredibly, buying nearly all of her pieces. A year later, her paintings sold out in one show, earning the child thousands of dollars.
Today, Aelita is a seven year old millionaire. Her most expensive piece cost 24 thousand dollars.
Classified as abstract paintings, Aelita's art is made with acrylics and sometimes includes three dimensional objects such as leaves, twigs, bark, or feathers.
Many people believe that Aelita's work is something anyone could produce because of its simplicity. However, several professional artists argue that if someone were to see her paint, they would understand that not just anyone could do such a thing. Ruv Nemirovsky, Professor of St. Petersburg Fine Art Academy, says, "Aelita Andre is the Mozart of visual arts."
Gallery 151 NYC hosts Aelita's most current work. From Oct. 28th to Nov. 1st, her collection of painted violins will be displayed. She will perform her improvised music on the violins to present her newest painting collection.
